It is found in the THYLAKOID MEMBRANE and plays an important role in process of PHOTOSYNTHESIS by transfering electrons from PLASTOQUINONE to PLASTOCYANIN or CYTOCHROME C6. The transfer of electrons is coupled to the transport of PROTONS across the membrane.
